What's changing for 1099Pro Professional Edition customers?

The IRS is transitioning from the FIRE system to the new IRIS (Information Return Intake System) filing system. As part of that change, the 1099PRO Professional Desktop Edition product is being retired.

For tax year 2026 and beyond, Enterprise Edition is the only desktop product for 1099, 1098, and 5498 filing. Here’s what this means for you:

  1. Your renewal is already updated. We’ve automatically switched your order to the equivalent Enterprise Edition product.
  2. You can renew as usual. No extra steps are required. Complete your renewal the same as you always have.
  3. Your filing continues without interruption. Enterprise Edition supports the same forms you file today, built for the IRIS transition.
For details on the transition, Enterprise Edition, and 1099PRO Cloud options, see our FIRE to IRIS Resource Guide.
